Area Health District's
Emergency
Preparedness Planning:
The
purpose of this all hazards plan is to establish methods,
procedures, and guidelines to be used by the Torrington Area
Health District (TAHD) and its emergency planning partners to
respond to all types public health emergencies (e.g. infectious
diseases, natural disasters, biological terrorism (BT). This
plan is designed to complement Emergency Support Function (
ESF
) 8 (health and medical) of the Emergency Operations Plans (
EOP
) for The Town(s) of Bethlehem, Canaan (Falls Village),
Cornwall, Goshen, Harwinton, Kent, Litchfield, Morris, Norfolk,
North Canaan, Plymouth, Salisbury, Thomaston, Torrington,
Warren, Watertown, and Winsted (herein called TAHD member towns)
and to integrate them with future regional and state plans
as they develop. TAHD is located in Region 5 of the Connecticut
Department of Emergency Management and Homeland Security (DEMHS).
