Suicide is a serious health issue with millions of Americans attempting suicide annually having long lasting impacts on individuals, families, and communities. Youth are particularly at risk and suicide is the second leading cause of death for ages 10-14, and the third leading cause of death among 15–24-year-olds. This risk increases among Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer/Questioning Intersex and Asexual (LGBTQIA+) youth.
