Tattoo Salons

Tattoo Salons 

​In 2013 The State of Connecticut revised regulations and as of that revision, all tattoo technicians are licensed exclusively by the Connecticut Department of Public Health (DPH).  The Torrington Area Health District no longer licenses individual tattoo establishments and relies on the DPH regulatory authorities to ensure compliance to State regulations.  Those wishing to become licensed or open a tattoo establishment must contact the Connecticut DPH.

Temporary Tattoo Event Requirements 

The State DPH has a form they require for temporary tattoo events:

​-Monday, Tuesday, Thursday- 8:00am to 4:00pm.
-Wednesday-
8:00am to 6:00pm.
